Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients:

    • Slice pork into bite-sized pieces. Marinate with 1 tbsp rice wine and 1 tsp soy sauce for 10 minutes.

    • Slice onion and garlic. Chop scallion.

  2. Cook the onions:

    • Heat a Flambo Skillet until water beads roll around the surface.

    • Add sunflower oil and reduce to medium-low heat when oil ripples appear.

    • Sauté the sliced onion with a pinch of salt until soft and slightly caramelized.

  3. Sear the pork:

    • Push the onions to the side of the pan. Add a bit more oil if needed.

    • Add marinated pork to the center. Sear until the pork is halfway cooked.

  4. Simmer with sauce:

    • Stir onions and pork together.

    • Pour in the sauce mixture. Cover and simmer until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.

  5. Finish and serve:

    • Uncover, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions. Toss to combine.

    • Serve hot with rice.
