Ingredients

• 7 oz pork belly, sliced
• 9 oz cabbage, shredded
• 2 oz carrot, thinly sliced
• 1 scallion, cut into 2-inch pieces
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1½ tbsp sunflower oil
• 2 tbsp water

Marinade:
• 2 tbsp miso paste
• 3 tsp honey
• 2 tbsp sake
• 1 tbsp minced garlic

This Pan-Fried Pork Belly with Honey and Miso is the perfect balance of savory, slightly sweet, and umami-packed flavors. Tender pork belly is marinated in a rich miso-honey sauce, then stir-fried with crisp cabbage and carrots for a hearty, satisfying dish. Quick to prepare and bursting with flavor, this stir-fry makes a great weeknight meal when served with a bowl of steamed rice!

Instructions

1. Prepare the ingredients:

Shred the cabbage, slice the carrot, and cut the scallion into 2-inch pieces. Mince the garlic.

2. Marinate the pork:

Slice the pork belly into bite-sized pieces and mix with sake, miso, honey, and minced garlic.

Massage the marinade into the pork and let it rest for 5–10 minutes.

3. Cook the vegetables:

Heat a Flambo Skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp sunflower oil.

Sauté the carrots until fragrant, then add the cabbage.

Stir-fry briefly, then add 2 tbsp water, cover, and let it steam for 2 minutes until the cabbage softens.

4. Cook the pork:

Push the vegetables to the edges of the pan and add the marinated pork belly to the center.

Drizzle in soy sauce and stir-fry until the pork is fully cooked.

5. Combine & finish:

Mix the pork with the vegetables, toss in the scallions, and stir everything together.

Serve hot and enjoy!
